Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using GreenSlot's website, mobile applications, or any related services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
These Terms apply to all visitors, customers (homeowners), and lawn-care professionals ("Pros") who register for an account. Additional terms may apply to Pros who subscribe to a paid plan.
2. Services & Platform Description
GreenSlot provides an online marketplace and scheduling platform that allows homeowners to:
- Request instant quotes for lawn-care services based on property data and selected service options.
- Book appointments with independent lawn-care professionals in their area.
- Pay for services securely through our payment processor (Stripe).
GreenSlot also provides a subscription-based business management platform for Pros, including scheduling, booking management, customer management, route planning, and optional accounting integrations.
GreenSlot is not a lawn-care company. Pros are independent contractors, not employees or agents of GreenSlot. GreenSlot does not control the quality, timing, or safety of services performed.
3. Accounts & Registration
To use certain features of the Services, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current registration information.
- Maintain the confidentiality of your password and be responsible for all activity under your account.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- Be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
GreenSlot reserves the right to terminate accounts, refuse service, or remove content at our sole discretion.
4. Subscriptions & Billing (For Pros)
Pros may subscribe to one of two plans: Starter ($24.99/month) or Pro ($54.99/month). Both plans include a 10-day free trial. By signing up, you authorize GreenSlot to charge your payment method on day 11 of your trial and monthly thereafter.
- Free trial: No charge for the first 10 days. You may cancel anytime before day 11 for no charge.
- Billing cycle: Monthly, billed on the same day each month as your trial end date.
- Cancellation: You may cancel at any time in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days.
- Plan changes: Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
5. Bookings & Cancellations
Homeowners may request bookings through the GreenSlot platform. Bookings are confirmed only when a Pro accepts the request. GreenSlot does not guarantee availability.
- Homeowners must cancel at least 24 hours before a scheduled appointment to avoid a cancellation fee.
- Pros may decline bookings at their discretion. GreenSlot will attempt to find an alternative Pro when available.
- In the event of severe weather or safety concerns, GreenSlot may reschedule appointments without penalty.
6. Payments & Fees
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By using our payment services, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. GreenSlot does not store full payment card information on its servers.
- Homeowners are charged after the job is marked complete by the Pro.
- Pros receive payouts after a processing period (typically 1–2 business days via Stripe).
- GreenSlot may charge a platform fee on transactions as described in the applicable plan.
- Disputed charges must be reported within 7 days of the transaction.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Services to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users.
- Attempt to circumvent GreenSlot's platform to arrange services or payments outside our system.
- Scrape, crawl, or collect data from our platform without express written permission.
- Introduce malware, viruses, or harmful code.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the GreenSlot platform — including text, graphics, logos, software, and the GreenSlot name and mark — is owned by or licensed to GreenSlot and protected by U.S. and international intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
By submitting reviews, photos, or other content to GreenSlot, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with our Services.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GREENSLOT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
GREENSLOT'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO GREENSLOT IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100.
GREENSLOT IS NOT LIABLE FOR THE ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF INDEPENDENT LAWN-CARE PROFESSIONALS, INCLUDING PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, OR FAILURE TO PERFORM.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate the relationship at any time. GreenSlot may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including payment obligations, IP rights, disclaimers, and dispute resolution) will survive.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Gwinnett County, Georgia, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive your right to participate in a class action lawsuit.
